The kids are out of school till January and the noise level in my house lets me know that Christmas break has officially started. The boys are all very excited that Christmas day is around the corner and there are gifts under the tree. Tom and I also are excited to have some time off of work to get some projects done around the house. Tonight I am sitting in front of the tree enjoying the lights and thinking about what our family has experienced over the last year. We have had a stressful year dealing with the death of my sisters premature babies, watching my sister-in-law fight a terminal illness and the death of a beloved grandmother. After the year we have had what I am looking forward to most is just spending time with my family, going to church on Christmas Eve and believe it or not working on those house projects that we have put off the last few months. As I look ahead in the year that is to come I know there will be very happy moments, like the birth of a new niece or nephew in July, and more sad moments for our family to get through but I know we will come through it together. I hope that everyone takes a moment to reflect on what you have in your life and praise god for it because even if you have a storm in your life right now god knows the whole story and life is good. Whatever may come your way the next year I hope all take a moment to celebrate the birth of a very special baby. Merry Christmas!!!

Another Year Older.....
I finally am posting something on my blog...I haven't had much time to play and figure out how to post stuff but I'm learning. The picture to the left is Matt posing with his car, I'm posting this picture because this week my baby tuned 16!!! I can't believe that he is 16 and legally able to drive by himself. He is ready for this but I am not!!! When I look at him he is still that little innocent baby I brought home from the hospital, the little toddler playing in the sprinkler on a hot summer day or the little boy with his new backpack on his first day of school. I guess as a mom you always feel that way but when you hit these big mile stones in life you can't believe where all the time has gone. So for everyone rushing through your day to day life slow down and enjoy all the little moments because before you know it 16 years has past in a blink of an eye.
